The circus has arrived in Las Vegas but this year things might be different. Ringling Bros. is waiting a decision by a federal judge as to whether endangered elephants can be used in their circus. Should Circus Elephants Be Banned?

Almost half of New York City’s City Council Members have signed a bill that would “prohibit the display of wild or exotic animals for public entertainment or amusement”. Many animals, in addition to elephants, are included in the bill, although everyone admits this legislation is targeting Ringling Bros. and their use of elephants in the circus.

Closing arguments set for elephant abuse trial

The Ringling Bros. elephant abuse trial is coming to an end. There was no jury in this case so the judge will make the sole decision, which will be available this summer. It’s only March so I don’t know why it will take so long for their to be a verdict.
