Indian elephants trample tourist to death

Sadly, a French tourist has been trampled to death by elephants in India. She got close to an elephant and her baby to take photos and was charged at by the herd. – ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Pink elephant is caught on camera

A baby pink elephant was photographed by Michael Holding in the Okavango Delta in Botswana. The baby is probably an albino, which is very rare in African elephants.

Unfortunately, the baby’s chance of survival is not good, since he may suffer from blindness and skin problems.

Newborn baby elephant dies at Artis

“A baby elephant at Amsterdam’s Artis zoo has died at just one day-old. The calf was born two months prematurely, which is a rare event in elephants. The 17-year-old mother, Thong Tai, is recovering well from the birth. Baby Obama Born at Ambesoli Park in Kenya on November 4th!

An elephant calf was born at the Ambesoli Park in Kenya on November 4th, 2008. While the country hoped that Barack Obama, “the son of Kenya”, would be elected President of the United States, a new male calf was born. The baby elephant was named Obama, of course.
